Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms carefully before registering for the Feet on Fire Dance Competition.
By registering for the Feet on Fire Dance Competition, all participants agree to the following terms and conditions. Failure to adhere to these terms may result in disqualification.
1. Eligibility
- Open to dance groups consisting of 5 to 10 members.
- Participants must be within the approved age bracket for the competition (13 - 19).
- At least one team representative must be available for all official communications.
- All members must complete registration and fulfill all requirements before the deadline.
2. Registration
- Registration must be completed through the official Feet on Fire website or designated sign-up platform.
- Registration closes on the specified date (March 29, 2025) late entries will not be accepted.
3. Song Selection
- Participants are meant to pick just one song from the all the list of songs and work on them for the competition or mix one or two of those songs to create one MIX
- All performance songs must be selected from the official playlist provided.
- Teams may choose one or more songs from the list, but no external tracks are allowed.
- Song remixes or alterations are permitted but it should be limited.
3. Competition Format & Judging
- The competition will consist of multiple rounds: auditions, eliminations, and finals.
- Judging will be based on:
- Creativity & originality
- Technique & skill level
- Synchronization & teamwork
- Stage presence & performance energy
- Judges' decisions are final and non-negotiable.
4. Conduct & Ethics
- All participants must exhibit professionalism, sportsmanship, and respect toward judges, organizers, fellow contestants, and the audience.
- Use of offensive language, disrespectful behavior, or any form of misconduct will result in immediate disqualification.
- Dance performances must align with appropriate family-friendly content (no vulgarity, inappropriate gestures, or suggestive performances).
- No external interference is allowed (e.g., unauthorized persons influencing judges or competition officials).
5. Costume & Props
- Dance groups are responsible for their own costumes and props.
- Outfits must be decent and appropriate for a public performance.
- Use of props must be pre-approved by the competition organizers to ensure safety.
- Songs for performances must be chosen from the provided list of songs.
6. Safety & Liability
- Participants take part in the competition at their own risk. The event organizers are not liable for any injuries, accidents, or lost belongings.
- It is the responsibility of each dance group to ensure adequate preparation and physical fitness for the competition.
- Medical emergencies will be handled by on-site personnel, but participants are encouraged to have their own medical insurance if necessary.
7. Media & Publicity
- By participating, contestants grant Feet on Fire the right to use their images, videos, and performances for promotional and marketing purposes.
- Event footage may be used on social media, websites, and other platforms without further consent or compensation.
8. Disqualification & Penalties
- A team may be disqualified for:
- Failure to adhere to the terms outlined above.
- Submitting false information during registration.
- Violating ethical conduct policies.
- Participants who show potential and interest may receive further mentorship opportunities.
9. Amendments & Final Decisions
- The Feet on Fire organizing team reserves the right to update these terms and conditions as necessary.
- Any changes will be communicated to registered participants.
By registering, all contestants confirm they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these terms and conditions.
